I’m currently working on my PhD in Human Centered Computing at the University of Florida. I’m interested in researching gamification, and how it can be applied to enhance the experience of Computing Sciences students. My focus is Latino/Hispanic students, and how gamification can be applied to their unique experiences in the classroom.
I recently graduated from Villanova University with a master’s degree in Software Engineering. In my master’s thesis, I designed a gamification prototype that caters to different types of learners. The aim was to allow all students to excel in a way that fit them individually. Throughout my doctorate, I will continue to pursue this goal – create a classroom environment where all students are given the tools to excel.
